Fire Pits
Fire is one of the four elements in ancient
Greek philosophy and science. It was commonly associated with energy, assertiveness
and passion. Fire plays a strong role in Feng Shui. And, in Chinese thought
fire is represented by the red pheasant or Phoenix.
1-A reinforced, 6 in. thick concrete foundation is built on
4 inches of gravel or ABC. The slab is slightly sloped to one side for
drainage.
2-Natural stone is laid in mortar with a slight inward pitch to provide
greater wind stability and as a means to narrow the opening to fit the
fire ring. The pit is filled with white sand, pebbles or rock rubble.
3-The gas key is installed at the least visible portion of the fire pit
wall.

Fire pits are a great source for warmth and atmosphere.
Nothing feels as good as igniting a fire and sitting around it in winter
or summer evenings.

4-A choice
of matching flagstone, slate, tile or precast cap is mortared on the
top course to place refreshments, food, or to match an architectural
theme.
We design fire pits with your safety in mind.
No open fire pit will be built under trees.
Before you start a fire, check for the wind direction and avoid standing
against the wind flow before you light up. If the wind is too strong, avoid
starting the fire. Please avoid using accerlerants to start the fire. And,
clear the nearby area of combustible materials and flammable liquids.

BBQ Grill & Rotisserie
Our clients wanted to avoid going in too many directions
and wanted a general plan for their back yard. An outdoor cooking
area was part of the plan. 1-We
provided an easy to clean porcelain tile work surface. 2-A stir fry burner
is recessed for easy access. 3-Stainless steel doors, drawer and sink
work well outdoors. 4-We used a drop-in ice sink for beverages in place
of a refrigerator. 5-The Gooseneck lamp lights the grill and work burner
and the umbrella sleeve holds a 7ft wide umbrella.
